The Town of Pierce has officially certified the results of the Special Election held on December 2, 2025. The election addressed the recall question for a sitting Trustee and the selection of candidates to serve in the event of a recall.

Recall Question Results

Voters were asked:

Should Julie Lukela be recalled from the office of Trustee?

The official vote totals are as follows:

  • Yes: 95 votes
  • No: 55 votes

Based on these results, a majority of voters supported the recall.

Trustee Candidate Vote Totals

In accordance with the recall election process, votes were also cast for potential successors. The certified totals are:

  • Jeffrey Zimmerman: 90 votes
  • M. Sue Spurgeon-Paris: 38 votes
